Frequently asked questions

Most clients describe cupping as a comfortable pulling or stretching sensation, not pain. Some areas with high tension may feel more intense but this quickly turns into a releasing feeling. We always work within your comfort level and you can ask us to adjust the pressure at any time.
Circular marks (often dark red or purple) are completely normal and are not bruises in the traditional sense — they are caused by blood rising to the surface from the suction. They typically fade within 3–7 days. Their colour can indicate the level of stagnation in that area.
This varies greatly depending on your condition and goals. Many clients notice significant improvement after 1–3 sessions for acute issues, while chronic conditions may benefit from a course of 6+ sessions. We'll discuss this with you during your initial consultation and provide a recommended treatment plan.
Yes, when performed by a qualified practitioner in a clinical setting. We use sterile, single-use lancets and cups throughout. Our practitioners are fully certified in Hijama therapy and follow strict hygiene protocols to ensure your complete safety.
Most healthy adults can benefit from cupping. It's particularly effective for those with muscle tension, chronic pain, sports injuries, stress, and poor circulation. We conduct a thorough consultation before every first treatment to ensure it's appropriate for you. Some contraindications apply — please contact us if you have concerns.
Dry cupping uses suction alone to boost circulation and release muscle tension. Wet cupping (hijama) combines that suction with a controlled, superficial release for deeper detoxification — a traditional practice used for thousands of years. Both are performed with sterile, single-use equipment.
Yes. We have both male and female practitioners, so you can choose who treats you. Our treatment rooms are completely private and our clinic is an adults-only, discreet environment — many of our clients specifically prefer a same-gender therapist.
Stay hydrated and try to eat a light meal a couple of hours before your session (avoid coming on a completely empty or very full stomach). Wear comfortable clothing. First-time clients should complete our short intake & consent form before arriving so we can tailor your treatment safely.
Yes — we'll give you simple aftercare guidance after every session. Keep the treated area warm and covered, drink plenty of water, and avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths and swimming for 24–48 hours. The circular marks fade naturally within a few days.
We're on the 1st floor at 86 Randal Street, Blackburn BB1 7LG, centrally located and close to public transport. There's pay-and-display parking right outside. We're open 7 days a week, 9am–9pm.
